This is one of the variations of a build I've used for vanquishing, missions and dungeons: OgETY5rmxRWG6fM5Gejo/zQbAA. You can drop Call of Haste for "FGJ!" if you're expecting inordinate amounts of damage to help charge "SY!" with Triple Shot. Energy shouldn't be a problem and D-shot can be replaced with Savage Shot for more damage.

Another fun variation is R/Me using Epidemic to spread DW.

I guess i just have to try all the 4 combinations; Spear HaO, Spear EL, Bow HaO, Bow EL.

I cant rly figure out if Sloth Hunters, Triple Shot, Volley is par with spearchucking.

Anyone got any tips on knock downs? For Bestial Mauling

It's a trade-off, as far as I can tell. You and your pet are far more durable with HaO but it has a stronger attack with ER. There certainly is something to be said for HaO's ability to liberate your bar as well, but overall it's a matter of weighing the sacrifice for extra damage, which is as old a question as the RPG itself.

All my tests prove that the dmg difference is only 4-6dps in favor of EL.

That depends on the skills you can bring on your bar. Spear has a faster attack but lacks the +damage options you can bring for arrows and in hardmode basedamage is mostly meaningless. Spear lacks the range, though longbow range can sometimes be a disadvantage with heroes hanging around because the fight is beyond their aggro range.

Anyway, just play with the options in the field and see what you like best. Or switch once in while.

All your tests assume that your target never dies. Which kills one of the primary purposes of EL, DW spam.

yea that is true... I can kill all 4 (2 x 60, 1 x 80 and 1 x 100 armor) dummies with both El and HaO, before the first one respawns
